ABOUT FAATEMAH

Faatemah is an award-winning hair stylist living her dream while bringing others dreams to life. She loves hair that commands attention. Whether she’s behind the scenes at a runway show or styling behind the bright lights of an editorial photo shoot, her passion for fashion dazzles with styles that range from the outrageous and over-the-top to simple classic beauty cuts combined with flawless color.

The dream began in Minneapolis at the Aveda Institute. There, hair pioneer and founder of Aveda, Horst M. Rechelbacher, spotted her talent and plucked her out of the nest to travel the country with his team. The formidable experience of learning and being surrounded by the best influenced her abilities and set the stage for her talents to soar. She graduated at the top of her class in both Cosmetology and Aesthetics. Later, she began working with Graham Webb, specializing in runway and editorial styling. Her strong background from these two working relationships has led to a plethora of opportunities today styling hair for national print magazines, television, branding campaigns and runway shows.

Faatemah has 16 years of well-rounded experience putting her fabulous touch on cuts, color, extensions and styling celebrities. In 2009, her career went from great to wow! In July, she was recognized internationally as a North American Hairstyling Award (NAHA) nominee in two categories. Of course, she took home the award for Fashion Forward. Soon after, she was named host and emcee for the 2010 International Salon & Spa Expo (ISSE), the largest beauty event on the west coast. Finally in December, Bravo announced the cast for the third season of Shear Genius, which includes Faatemah among the best stylists from around the world. Faatemah has currently done countless editorials for publications all over the world and continues to inspire others through eduction.
